What counts as a span?
One timed step inside a request: a handler, a query, a call to another service. A typical API request has between 10 and 40.
What happens if we go over on Team?
Nothing stops. Extra spans are billed at $0.30 per million, and you get an email when you pass 80% of your included volume.
Do you store request bodies?
No. Spanrow keeps timings, routes, status codes and query shapes. Values in queries are removed before they leave your servers.
Can we run the collector ourselves?
Yes. Enterprise plans can run the collector in your own cloud, so raw traces never leave your network.
Is there a trial of Team?
Every new workspace gets Team features for 14 days. After that it drops to Hobby unless you choose a plan.
Which languages are supported?
Node.js, Python, Go, Ruby, Java and .NET, plus anything that already sends OpenTelemetry traces.
